Better than the tv series! -
This novel feels more in the spirit of Starship Troopers by Robert Heinlein! It starts off with a training montage then quickly dives into the action in the very first chapter. The rest of the book alternates between the present day course of the story to the back-history of the book's universe and gives details about newtypes. The Novel itself is a mix of Arther C.Clark and Robert A. Heinlein(who the author was a fan of both), as it contains a balance of realistic technical specifications, and scientific theory and fact, politics and coming of age. This novel serves as Tomino Yoshiyuki's vision in a more adult manner, though the ending is to be desired, I recommend picking up all three! Hence, this book is great if you're a Gundam fan or a Sci-fi/hard sci-fi fan. Escalation (Gundam Mobile Suit #2)
